ABout The Project
The Sefton hotel is a landmark site in the Sydney region with the owners having several other venues within the Sydney Metropolitan area. The hotel installed a 100kW Safe Futureproof Smart Solar System to assist with reducing their energy spent.
Given the complexity of the roof and the many small shading areas, Tigo smart solar was a simple choice. The owners of the hotel could see the benefits in the additional generation, the outstanding monitoring and more importantly the safety features including rapid shutdown.
The installation was eligible for 1519 STC certificates, providing the Sefton hotel with $53,165 in government incentive to assist with the installation. Annually the system will generate 151,676 kilowatt hours of green energy, greatly reducing the hotel’s carbon footprint and energy costs, while becoming more sustainable and increasing business profits.
Three Fronius 27 kW eco inverters are used to manage the AC side of the system, these are combined with 400watt high yield phono commercial panels maximising the available roof space of the hotel.
