ABout The Project
Epic Wright Heaton wanted to reduce the costs of running their large refrigeration system while also reducing their carbon footprint. They chose a 99.94kW Tigo embedded SmartSolar system for its additional generation and its outstanding safety.
The system was eligible for a $51,485 STC grant assistance which paid for a third of the systems investment giving greater than a 20% return.
Tigo DC Managed SmartSolar was the only suitable option for Epic Wright Heaton once all other options had been investigated. Rapid shutdown compliance was also high on the insurance companies’ list of requirements.
Trina 380watt Max panels were installed with Tigo DC optimization on every panel. Three Fronius ECO 27 kW inverters were used for the AC side of the installation.
