ABout The Project
Komatsu is a global company, supplying heavy mining equipment and excavation equipment that incorporate the latest technologies including detailed monitoring, self diagnostics and self-drive machinery. Komatsu was first introduced to Smart Solar technology in 2019 at their Fairfield head office. Because of Komatsu’s understanding of real time monitoring and its importance in any situation, Komatsu were instantly drawn to Smart Solar technology.
Komatsu Mackay is the second smart solar installation of a national rollout call to owned Komatsu facilities. Having smart solar on all their facilities will allow them to review the performance of all their solar investments on a single web page or on any smart device.
In keeping with Komatsu’s policies of a sustainable industry, a 62kW smart solar system removes over 93,000 kilograms of carbon Dioxide annually and was eligible for 1020 STC’s giving then a $35,700 government grant incentive.
162 x 380watt Trina Smart Modules were installed with Tigo DC optimization on every panel coupled with 2 x Fronius 27 kW ECO inverters.
