ABout The Project
Medowie Christian School is a private school in NSW focused on empowering its pupils to become the best they can be while taking care of others and their environment. Medowie saw the installation of a Smart Solar system as a perfect way to utilise the comprehensive monitoring of the smart solar to teach the pupils about how we can all do our part in protecting our world.
Medowie school have a sister school in port villa helping to educate the people of this very poor region. As part of the installation for Medowie, SCE also assisted their sister school with the donation of a 10kW smart solar system and an off grid bore pump.
The school took advantage of our No-Deposit Finance option and are receiving the benefits of a cash flow positive outcome while the system works to pay for itself. The system generates 369.20kWH per day and was eligible for 1656 STC’s giving them a $57,960 government grant incentive.
270 x 370watt TrinaSmart Modules all fitted with Tigo DC optimisers ensure the safety of the school and its pupils as well as allowing for greater overall performance and shade mitigation from the nearby trees in the cooler months. 3 Fronius ECO 27kW inverters take care of the DC to AC conversion and provide our secondary AC monitoring capability.
